Microsoft Malaysia Launches Windows 7








Windows 7, the latest version of Microsoft's operating system, is all set to enter the Malaysian market by October 2009.
The company believes that new software product will be among the key revenue contributors to Microsoft (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for its financial year ending June 30, 2010.
Apart from latest development, Microsoft has also scheduled to launch the Windows Server 2008 R2 network operating system at the same time. Both new products are targeted at individual users, small and medium businesses, and enterprises, and designed to enhance productivity and security as well as reduce costs.
The new operating system offers a streamlined user interface and significant new features that make everyday tasks easier while allowing people to get the most out of computers of all styles and sizes.

The Malaysian availability of Windows 7 is joined by an unprecedented array of new PCs and software programs.

Yasmin Mahmood, the managing director of Microsoft Malaysia, said that the company is very enthusiastic about Windows 7 in Malaysia and the launch today was a big day for the IT industry as a whole.

"With Windows 7 immediately available to all Malaysians nationwide, the everyday PC experience is now better in simpler, faster and more responsive ways," she said in a statement.

The estimated six million Malaysians who use Windows, can now upgrade their PCs.
