So, Galaxy SL is faster than the Galaxy S.. Both also run on 1Ghz proc which only different type..

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 — The government will likely call for another round of across-the-board fuel price hikes later today as part of its subsidy rationalisation efforts, industry sources say.

Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Pemandu CEO Datuk Seri Idris Jala have called for a “very important meeting” at 3.00pm in Putrajaya to discuss the second wave of subsidy rationalisation.

“The government’s intention to allow market mechanisms to determine prices of essential goods and output to ensure better allocation of national resources, reduce wastage and increase the efficiency of the economy is expected to continue into 2011 as it remains committed towards subsidy rationalisation,” the media invite read.

Fuel subsidy was last cut in July 16, when prices went up by 5 sen per litre for petrol and diesel, and 10 sen per kg for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Today’s possible fuel price hike move will come only two days after the price of RON97 petrol was increased by 15 sen per litre to RM2.30. It was the second RON97 price hike announced in a month following a 5 sen increase on November 1.

RON97 is subject to a managed float to reflect the price of petrol in the global market.

Yesterday, Bernama reported that the government was considering standardising the price of diesel, which is sold at different rates according to use.

Diesel is sold at RM1.75 at the pump, RM1.25 to fishermen, RM1.45 to the transportation sector and RM2.05 to the industrial sector.

Ismail Sabri said yesterday that people were taking advantage of the subsidised prices to trade in the fuel.

“We propose to study the diesel price subsidy system again,” he told reporters after chairing a meeting on diesel abuse.

Harga petrol dan LPG di jangka naik

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Dis – Harga bahan api petrol dan diesel serta gas dijangka mengalami kenaikan lagi mulai tengah malam ini ekoran keputusan kerajaan menyelaraskan kadar subsidi – dasar yang diperkenalkan Putrajaya pertengahan tahun ini.

Kenaikan kali ini juga dikatakan membabitkan petrol RON 95 dan RON 97.

Harga petrol RON 97 naik sebanyak 15 sen kepada RM2.30 seliter mulai kelmarin.

Kenaikan RON 97 kelmarin adalah ekoran perubahan harga pasaran yang diapungkan sejak Julai lalu.

Pengumuman rasmi dijadual untuk dibuat petang ini.

“Saya jangkakan kerajaan akan mengumumkan harga petang ini… kenaikan dijangka dalam sekitar 10 hingga 15 sen dan difahamkan, kadar baru ini kuat kuasa mulai esok,” kata sumber industri kepada The Malaysian Insider.

“Kami diumumkan perubahan ini baru-baru ini,” kata sumber itu lagi.

Pada 1 November lalu, harga petrol RON 97 dinaikkan lima sen menjadi RM2.15 seliter.

Semalam, Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob berkata, kerajaan akan menimbang kemungkinan untuk menyeragamkan harga diesel yang diberi bantuan subsidi bagi mengelak berlakunya lagi kes-kes penyelewengan di negara ini.

Katanya, angkah tersebut dilihat relevan bagi memastikan bantuan subsidi tidak disalahgunakan pihak tidak bertanggungjawab ekoran perbezaan harga diesel yang ditetapkan mengikut sektor.

Pada masa ini harga diesel bersubsidi mengikut sektor ialah di pam minyak RM1.75, pengangkutan RM1.45, nelayan RM1.25 manakala industri RM2.05.

Pertengahan Julai lalu, kerajaan mengumumkan pelarasan harga menyaksikan kenaikan harga beberapa barangan keperluan utama.

Dalam kenyataan diumumkan ketika itu, Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak pelarasan harga itu membabitkan petrol, diesel dan Petroleum Gas Cecair (LPG), dan juga gula, yang diselaraskan semula sebagai sebahagian daripada Program Rasionalisasi Subsidi. Selaras dengan itu, Kabinet telah mengambil keputusan bahawa berkuat kuasa pada 16 Julai 2010, harga bagi bahan api, terutamanya petrol, diesel dan LPG, dan juga gula, akan diselaraskan semula sebagai sebahagian dari Program Rasionalisasi Subsidi.

Menurut Najib yang juga Menteri Kewangan, Penyelarasan semula harga barang-barang itu akan membolehkan kerajaan mengurangkan perbelanjaannya melebihi RM750 juta untuk tahun ini.

Berdasarkan proses itu, kerajaan memutuskan harga petrol RON 95 dan diesel akan diselaraskan sebanyak lima sen seliter bagi semua sektor. LPG akan diselaraskan sebanyak 10 sen sekilogram dan petrol RON 97 akan diapung secara terkawal.

Bagi gula pula, harga akan diselaraskan sebanyak 25 sen sekilogram.

Dua hari lalu, petrol RON 97 naik sebanyak 15 sen kepada RM2.30 seliter. Kenaikan itu berikutan perubahan harga pasaran yang diapungkan sejak Julai lalu.

Harga diesel pula dipercayai dinaikkan 5 sen menjadikannya RM1.80 seliter manakala gas LPG juga naik 5 sen menjadikan harganya RM1.90 sekilogram.

Harga gula pula dikatakan akan naik 20 sen menjadikan harganya RM2.10 sekilogram.

Semua harga baru dijangka berkuatkuasa pada jam 12.01 pagi esok. Ia didedahkan pada taklimat kepada editor di Putrajaya oleh Unit Pengurusan Prestasi dan Perlaksanaan (PEMANDU) .

Malaysiakini turut dijemput ke taklimat itu melalui panggilan telefon tetapi wartawan kami dihalang memasuki ibupejabat Unit Kordinasi dan Pelaksanaan di Pejabat Perdana Menteri, kemudiannya tanpa sebarang alasan.

Pengumuman rasmi daripada Jabatan Perdana Menteri berhubung kenaikkan ini dijangkakan pada jam 8 malam.

Kali terakhir harga barangan meningkat adalah pada 15 Julai lalu. Ia membabitkan kenaikan 5-dalam-1. Barangan yang terjejas itu adalah dua gred petrol, diesel, gula dan gas.

Senarai harga baru adalah seperti berikut:

* Petrol RON 95 - RM1.85 kepada RM1.90 seliter

* Diesel - RM1.75 kepada RM1.80 seliter

* Gula pasir - RM1.90 kepada RM2.10 sekilogram

* Gas LPG - RM1.85 kepada RM1.90 sekilogram

There are estimated 1.5millions blackberry user in Malaysia...

After the starting of banning blackberry in India, Saudi Arab & UAE, will Malaysia join in too??

Why is Blackberry banned in those country??

Because it are highly secured & encrypted...

And are considering as a threat to the country because there are no way to intercept the communication that going on in Blackberry smartphone...

If there are terrorist in the country using it on planning next massive attack, and sure it will 100% on it's track because no government agencies are able to decrypt the data...

This is a headache for government and cause national security to alarm..

Blackberry - How to not get ban?

RIM, the manufacturer of Blackberry, should any how allow minimum intercept on it Blackberry by most of the government agencies...

May be to set up a center in every Blackberry user country to decrypt the data for the government...

Powder is a 1995 film directed by Victor Salva, about a boy, nicknamed "Powder", with incredible intellect, telepathy, and paranormal powers. It stars Sean Patrick Flanery in the title role, with Jeff Goldblum, Mary Steenburgen, Bradford Tatum, Lance Henriksen, and Brandon Smith in supporting roles. The film questions the limits of the human mind and body while also displaying their capacity for cruelty, and the hope that humanity will advance to a state of better understanding.

Since its release, the film has grossed approximately $31 million worldwide.

Synopsis

Jeremy Reed, whose nickname is Powder, is an albino who has incredible intellect and is able to sense the thoughts of the people around him. Jeremy's mother was struck by lightning while pregnant with him. She died shortly after the strike, but Jeremy survived. Because of the lightning strike, Jeremy's body possesses a powerful electromagnetic charge, which causes electrical objects to function abnormally when he is around them, as well as when he becomes emotional. Also, because of his electrical charge, no hair can grow on his body. Because his mother is dead and his father disowned him and left him with the hospital where he was born, he grew up with his grandparents. They kept him in a basement and would not let him leave the house, so he turned to books for solace. He was taken from his home when his grandfather was found dead. Child Services agents took him to a boy's home because he was now effectively a ward of the state.

He is taken to high school and encounters physics teacher Donald Ripley (Goldblum) who finds out that Powder has supernatural powers as well as the highest IQ in the history of mankind. While his abilities mark him as special, they also make him an outcast. On a hunting trip with his schoolmates, Powder is threatened with a gun by John Box, an aggressive student who views him as a freak. Before John can shoot, a gun goes off in the distance and everyone rushes to see that Harley, a sheriff's deputy who is hunting with the boys, has shot a doe which is now dying. Anguished by the animal's death, Powder touches the deer and Harley, inducing in Harley what the students assume is a seizure. Harley later reveals that Powder had caused him to feel the pain and fear of the dying deer, and he cannot bring himself to wield a gun anymore because of this, although he hates Powder for doing this to him.

Powder meets Lindsey Kelloway, a romantic interest, but their relationship is broken by Lindsey's father. Before the interruption, he tells Lindsey that he can see the truth about people: that they are scared and feel disconnected from the rest of the world, but in truth are all connected to everything that exists.

Powder goes back to the juvenile facility and packs away his belongings, planning to run away to his deceased grandparents' farm. He pauses in the gym to stare at a male student washing, noticing the latter's luxurious head of hair as well as body hair which he himself lacks, and is caught at it by John Box, who accuses him of homosexuality. John steals Jeremy's hat and taunts him, but Powder reveals that John's words mimic what his stepfather said before beating him when he was 12, further angering Box. Box and the other boys humiliate Powder, stripping him naked and throwing him in a mud puddle. Box is then knocked away by a mysterious electric attack caused by lightning's strange attraction to Powder, and a classmate pronounces him dead. Powder uses an electric shock to revive John. John places Jeremy's hand over his own heart, as if to almost thank him and apologize.

In the final scene, Powder returns to the farm he grew up on, now in probate with the bank with his possessions removed, where he is rejoined by Jessie the psychiatrist, along with Donald Ripley and the Sheriff, who persuade Powder to come with them. However, Powder symbolically refuses to join the rest of society, instead letting nature take him: he runs into a stormy field where lightning strikes him, and he disappears in a blinding flash of multi-colored light.

Ultraviolet (UV)

Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light, but longer than x-rays, in the range 10 nm to 400 nm, and energies from 3 eV to 124 eV. It is so named because the spectrum consists of electromagnetic waves with frequencies higher than those that humans identify as the color violet.
UV light is found in sunlight and is emitted by electric arcs and specialized lights such as black lights. As an ionizing radiation it can cause chemical reactions, and causes many substances to glow or fluoresce. Most people are aware of the effects of UV through the painful condition of sunburn, but the UV spectrum has many other effects, both beneficial and damaging, on human health.

Damaging effects
Human Skin - Sunburn / Skin Cancer
UVA, UVB and UVC can all damage collagen fibers and thereby accelerate aging of the skin. Both UVA and UVB destroy vitamin A in skin which may cause further damage. In the past, UVA was considered less harmful, but today it is known that it can contribute to skin cancer via indirect DNA damage (free radicals and reactive oxygen species). It penetrates deeply but it does not cause sunburn. UVA does not damage DNA directly like UVB and UVC, but it can generate highly reactive chemical intermediates, such as hydroxyl and oxygen radicals, which in turn can damage DNA. Because it does not cause reddening of the skin (erythema) it cannot be measured in SPF testing. There is no good clinical measurement for blockage of UVA radiation, but it is important that sunscreen block both UVA and UVB. Some scientists blame the absence of UVA filters in sunscreens for the higher melanoma-risk that was found for sunscreen users.

UVB light can cause direct DNA damage. The radiation excites DNA molecules in skin cells, causing aberrant covalent bonds to form between adjacent cytosine bases, producing a dimer. When DNA polymerase comes along to replicate this strand of DNA, it reads the dimer as "AA" and not the original "CC". This causes the DNA replication mechanism to add a "TT" on the growing strand. This is a mutation, which can result in cancerous growths and is known as a "classical C-T mutation". The mutations that are caused by the direct DNA damage carry a UV signature mutation that is commonly seen in skin cancers. The mutagenicity of UV radiation can be easily observed in bacteria cultures. This cancer connection is one reason for concern about ozone depletion and the ozone hole. UVB causes some damage to collagen but at a very much slower rate than UVA.

As a defense against UV radiation, the amount of the brown pigment melanin in the skin increases when exposed to moderate (depending on skin type) levels of radiation; this is commonly known as a sun tan. The purpose of melanin is to absorb UV radiation and dissipate the energy as harmless heat, blocking the UV from damaging skin tissue. UVA gives a quick tan that lasts for days by oxidizing melanin that was already present and triggers the release of the melanin from melanocytes. UVB yields a tan that takes roughly 2 days to develop because it stimulates the body to produce more melanin. The photochemical properties of melanin make it an excellent photoprotectant. Older and more widespread sunscreen chemicals can not dissipate the energy of the excited state as efficiently as melanin and therefore the penetration of these sunscreen ingredients into the lower layers of the skin may increase the amount of free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS). In recent years, improved filtering substances have come into use in commercial sunscreen lotions that don't significantly degrade or lose their capacity to protect the skin as the exposure time increases (photostable substances).

Sunscreen prevents the direct DNA damage which causes sunburn. Most of these products contain an SPF rating to show how well they block UVB rays. The SPF rating, however, offers no data about UVA protection. In the US, the Food and Drug Administration is considering adding a star rating system to show UVA protection. A similar system is already used in some European countries.

Some sunscreen lotions now include compounds such as titanium dioxide which helps protect against UVA rays. Other UVA blocking compounds found in sunscreen include zinc oxide and avobenzone. Cantaloupe extract, rich in the compound superoxide dismutase (SOD), can be bound with gliadin to form glisodin, an orally-effective protectant against UVB radiation. There are also naturally occurring compounds found in rainforest plants that have been known to protect the skin from UV radiation damage, such as the fern Phlebodium aureum.

Eye
High intensities of UVB light are hazardous to the eyes, and exposure can cause welder's flash (photokeratitis or arc eye) and may lead to cataracts, pterygium, and pinguecula formation.
UV light is absorbed by molecules known as chromophores, which are present in the eye cells and tissues. Chromophores absorb light energy from the various wavelengths at different rates - a pattern known as absorption spectrum. If too much UV light is absorbed, eye structures such as the cornea, the lens and the retina can be damaged.

Protective eyewear is beneficial to those who are working with or those who might be exposed to ultraviolet radiation, particularly short wave UV. Given that light may reach the eye from the sides, full coverage eye protection is usually warranted if there is an increased risk of exposure, as in high altitude mountaineering. Mountaineers are exposed to higher than ordinary levels of UV radiation, both because there is less atmospheric filtering and because of reflection from snow and ice.

Ordinary, untreated eyeglasses give some protection. Most plastic lenses give more protection than glass lenses, because, as noted above, glass is transparent to UVA and the common acrylic plastic used for lenses is less so. Some plastic lens materials, such as polycarbonate, inherently block most UV. There are protective treatments available for eyeglass lenses that need it which will give better protection. But even a treatment that completely blocks UV will not protect the eye from light that arrives around the lens.

Beneficial effects
Vitamin D
UVB exposure induces the production of vitamin D in the skin. The majority of positive health effects relate to this vitamin which has regulatory roles in calcium metabolism (which is vital for normal functioning of the nervous system, as well as for bone growth and maintenance of bone density) immunity, cell proliferation, insulin secretion and blood pressure.

Aesthetics
Too little UVB radiation leads to a lack of Vitamin D. Too much UVB radiation leads to direct DNA damages, sunburn, and skin cancer. An appropriate amount of UVB (which varies according to skin color) leads to a limited amount of direct DNA damage. This is recognized and repaired by the body. Then the melanin production is increased which leads to a long lasting tan. This tan occurs with a 2-day lag phase after irradiation, but it is much less harmful and is longer lasting than the one obtained from UVA.

Medical applications
Ultraviolet radiation has other medical applications, in the treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis and vitiligo. UVA radiation has been much used in conjunction with psoralens (PUVA treatment) for psoriasis, although this treatment is less used now because the combination produces dramatic increases in skin cancer, and because treatment with UVB radiation by itself is more effective. Shanghai Disneyland 'may open by 2012'

Mickey Mouse and his friends could be welcoming visitors to the city's own Disneyland as early as 2012, a Hong Kong newspaper reported over the weekend.

The theme park, with an estimated cost of 40 billion yuan ($5.8 billion), will be located on the east bank of Shanghai's

Huangpu River, bordering Pudong district's Chuansha town and Nanhui district, Wen Wei Po quoted an unnamed source close to the Shanghai government as saying.

Shanghai Disneyland, 20 minutes' drive from Pudong International Airport, will be eight times larger than the one in Hong Kong - the first in China.

The source told the paper that 10 sq km of land has been set aside for the park.

The agreement on the location of the park was made after 10 years of tough negotiations, with Beijing and Tianjin also vying to host the park.

The Shanghai government had wanted the theme park to be built on Chongming Island, an area that has failed to keep pace with the city's rapid economic development.

The cost, excluding the land, was first set at around 30 billion yuan ($4.4 billion) but increased to 40 billion yuan ($5.8 billion) due to inflation.

The source said an official announcement on the decision will be made around the time of the Beijing Olympics.

According to the agreement, Shanghai Disneyland will not adopt Hong Kong's operation model, in which the government leases the land to the Walt Disney Company.

The Shanghai government will provide the land, cover most of the construction costs and hold a controlling stake. It will pay the Walt Disney Company for using the brand.

"I think it is a comprehensive Project, which will boost economic development in Shanghai and benefit many sectors, including real estate, tourism, retail, and the animation industry."

However, some Hong Kong business people worry the number of tourists from the mainland may fall if Disneyland visitors are drawn to the Shanghai park instead.

But Rita Lau, secretary for Hong Kong's Commerce and Economic Development says that the planned Shanghai Disneyland theme park and the existing Hong Kong Disneyland will complement each other.

"There are 1.3 billion people in our country. China's economy is growing quickly and the Chinese market, with its huge potential, will be big enough to sustain two Disneylands. Both of the parks can help the development of the tourism industry and even cooperate in the future to expand the Chinese market."

Due to limited space, the Hong Kong Disneyland has been in deficit since it is opened.

CEO of the resort Andrew Cam says Hong Kong is planning to expand the theme park under the support of The Walt Disney Co with the simple goal of increasing the number of the visitors.

"We will invest around 800 million US dollars this time, half of which will be used to make the new entertainment projects with the hope the number of tourists can increase by 30%-40%."

The Kek Lok Si Temple (极乐寺 in simplified chinese) is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in Penang (Northern Region of Malaysia) and is one of the best known temples on the island and it is also the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia.

Most visitors approach the temple as they ascend a stairway, roofs of which provide shelter to a multitude of shops selling souvenirs and other - mostly secular - commodities.There is an inclined lift to carry pilgrims and visitors further uphill. On the elevated platform, you can find a pond filled with Koi and the towering statue of Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy, which can also be regarded as Avalokitheshvara, Bodhisattva of Universal Compassion.

The temple is a place where the Chinese community in Penang will gathering for celebrations. The Chinese New Year celebrations are particularly impressive. For 30 days following Chinese New Year, the temple remains open until late at night whilst thousands of lights turn the scenery into a sea of light.

Until today, the temple is still growing. Generous donations from the affluent Chinese community allow the construction of additional buildings. The current focus is to create an ornate shelter for the Kuan Yin statue. 16 carved dragon pillars are being built, the concentric roof will be inspired by classical Ming architecture, reminiscent of the roof of Prayer Hall for Good Harvest in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
